Hi!
I’m K – 28 years old, married, nursing student, crazy cat lady, sometimes musician, and craft-lover.
I hate cleaning, bad spelling, and shellfish.
I love knitting/crochet/crafting, cooking, reading, my cat, Hubby, and learning new things.
I have a Bachelor of Psychology, and I’m currently studying Nursing. I originally wanted to go into Mental Health/Psychiatry, but now I’m leaning away from that.
At this point, I’ll be graduating at the end of 2018.
I write about heaps of stuff – studying, cooking, books, the occasional how-to, my everyday life, crafting, and things I that I find interesting.
If I think something is likely to be a triggering topic for some people, I will put warnings at the start of the post so you can avoid them. If you find something that you feel needs a trigger warning and I haven’t put it on there, let me know!
My Tumblr ask box is always open, or you can email me at thoughtsofmymadlife@gmail.com.

Hi K! Thanks for stopping by and following my blog. It’s always really great to read about other people’s journey into medicine and I look forward to following yours. 🙂
Thanks!
Thanks for the follow! What a lovely journey you’ve had so far – can’t wait to hear about your journey to medical school!

Hope you have a great day!
Found you via OM (Harsh Reality) WP Meet & Greet. Off to have a browse on your blog 🙂
Thanks for dropping by!
I like the way you write. It’s really like I’m talking to you face-to-face! I am so glad that I’ve found your comment on OM’s meet and greet post. Hope you don’t mind the follow. 🙂

I tend to write how I talk, so I guess it equates to the same thing sort of 🙂
Welcome, and thanks for the follow!
So that’s why… I tend to do the same though I didn’t know if it’s effective from others point of view…
You’re welcome. 🙂
Neither did I haha – I’ve just always found it the most comfortable way to write 🙂
Exactly… I’ve only done a few posts and I’m starting to learn some things like most of the posts I like or those spur-of-the-moment-type.. Like just allowing my thoughts to flow freely and type it in. So I’m always looking for blogs that I know will help me more. 🙂
I love this type of blog. Followed 🙂
Thank you!
Hi K,
I still keep up to date with your blog, I hope that everything is okay since the minor meltdown due to your course paperwork! I also don’t understand why people pack parts of the same thing in different boxes…it’s baffling. Anyway,I enjoy your blog and so I have nominated you for the Liebster award. as I’ve said in the post, you don’t have to do anything with it if you don’t want to but it’s my way of showing how much I like your blog. And perhaps even give you some exposure. 🙂

Thanks! Its so funny with the boxes though, because my Mum is almost OCD in her liking for “everything in it’s place”, so I thought she’d make sure everything was with related stuff haha. I found them eventually!
All good now after the meltdown, still pissed off but I’ll just do it in Semester 1 instead.
No problem! I’m more or less the same with liking things in their place, not to the point of OCD though. Perhaps she was in a hurry? Or the packing made sense to her? At least you found them.
I’m glad to hear that you’re okay now. I’d be annoyed too, but doesn’t that mean extra work for you over the semester 1? If so then good luck!
Oops forgot to say – Liebster post is queued up for tonight 🙂 I haven’t nominated anyone this time, because I’ve done Liebster back in July and a “One Lovely Blog Award” last month 🙂 thank you for the nomination! I’m glad you like my blog 🙂
That’s okay, I just wanted to let a few people know that I really like their blogs, giving out an award seems a nice way to do so. You’re welcome :).
Hi K! Thanks for the follow! Great story. Hats off for taking action towards reaching your goals. I made a career change a few years back and know it’s not an easy thing to do. I look forward to reading more about your journey and seeing the food you cook up along the way ; ). Cheers!
Thanks for the follow back 🙂 I’m looking forward to checking out all your tips and recipes! I’m always looking for ways to make our otherwise predictable menu more interesting (without spending too much extra time or money),
Sorry I haven’t been in touch with your posts lately!! I am reading them, though! I completely agreed with your referencing post, I went through the same thing.
Anyway, I nominated you for a creative blogger award, just check the post on my site 🙂

Oh thank you! I’ll check it out once I’ back on my computer 🙂
I feel I would love your blog!
Welcome, and I hope I live up to your expectations 🙂
